ピックアップ交換の為に三鷹楽器に預けていた 2本のギターを取りに行った。
修理を担当された方は、三鷹楽器閉鎖後、暫くしてからやはりギターリペア関係のお仕事に就かれるとのことで、名刺を頂いた。
リペアの方と直接相談できる処って、案外ないもんなんですよ。
ともあれ、フリーマーケットにて5000円で入手したギターの P.U. は、 Seymour Duncan に交換された。
これを含め、うちにある4本のギターを並べて弾いてみたが、この Ibanez が一番鳴りが良い。
変な共鳴もせず、鳴り過ぎず、明るくシャープで、それでいて落ち着いた感じの生音。
それまでメインで使っていたオールローズウッドのストラトが霞んで見える。
リペアの方が「文句ないですよ」と言ってただけある。
それに比べ、 ESPのギターの方は、ボディの鳴りが如何にも安っぽい。
貰い物のレスポールJrコピーも2弦に変な共鳴があり、どうにもならない。
こうして色々なギターを並べてみて、自分の好みのギターがようやくはっきりわかって来たと共に、選び方もようやくわかって来たように思う。
ネックはやや細めで、狂いがなくて、生音の鳴りが控え目だけど明るくシャープ。
生音を確認する時、絶対にアンプを通さないこと。
ボディの鳴りをチェックする為。
こうなると、セカンドギターもそれなりのものを揃えたくなって来る。
嗚呼、そういえば三鷹楽器でストラトボディが1000円で売ってたなぁ。
イキオイで買っちゃおうかな。

今、 neptune.palnet.or.jp だった鯖マシンがうちにあります。
このマシン、早速行き先決定。(笑)

その際に発生する「共有違反」をどのように回避するか。

dd は bs オプションで大きめのバッファサイズを指定すると、コピーが早い。
さて、ここまではうまく行ったのだが、作業をしていたマシンでは問題が発生した。
元々そのマシンでは、 SCSI HDD に Win2k が入っていて、新たに E-IDE HDD へコピーすると、どうしてもその HDD が E: として認識されてしまう。
必死に google っていくうちに、以下の情報を見付けた:

システムドライブのドライブレターの変更はレジストリを直接いじらなければならない。
今日の日記の「本日のリンク元」に、 YAMAHA のサイトがのっかってます。
これこそが MSIE 5.5SP2 のバグです。
勿論、 YAMAHA のサイトにこの日記へのリンクなぞある訳がありません。
この HTTP-REFERER は私が YAMAHA のサイトを見ながらこの日記を見ていた時に付いてしまったものです。
厄介なことに、一旦この HTTP-REFERER が記憶されてしまうと、当該サイトを表示していたウィンドウを閉じても消えません。
全ての MSIE のウィンドウを閉じて、 MSIE を再起動しなければ消えません。
複数のサイトを見て、 HTTP-REFERER を洩らしたくない時は、 web ブラウザを複数種類インストールするか、専用のマシンを別途用意する等の予防策が必要になります。
